The raffle for a fuel-efficient 2011 Toyota Prius will headline the Stony Brook Millstone Watershed Association’s 36th annual Watershed Fest on Oct. 1.
The annual fundraising event will be held in an elegant tent on the Watershed Association’s gorgeous, 930-acre nature reserve in Hopewell Township. Called Fest Forward, the event this year will highlight the Watershed Association’s bold plans for the future. The non-profit conservation organization has been protecting water and the environment in central New Jersey for more than 60 years.
“My co-chair Bill Carmean and I are so happy to add to the excitement of the Fest with the raffle of a Toyota Prius, one of today’s most sought-after cars,” said Marylou Ferrara, co-chair of the event. “We have so much to celebrate here at the Watershed this year, and we’re looking forward to an amazing evening.”
The event will include a cocktail hour with hors d’oeuvres during which Watershed friends, old and new, will enjoy each other’s company and bid on silent auction items. A delicious sit-down dinner will follow, and an exciting live auction will include a variety of items, including vacations at an Irish castle and on Kiawah Island, South Carolina. The evening will feature locally grown foods, and will be catered by Emily’s of Pennington.
No more than 400 raffle tickets will be sold for the Prius, and the winner will be drawn at the Fest. You need not be at the Fest to win.To buy tickets to the Fest and/or the Prius raffle, please visit the watershed website HERE or call the Watershed Association at (609) 737-3735. Also, please contact the Association if you would like to donate an item for the silent or live auctions.
