Happy birthday, Paul Robeson! The Arts Council of Princeton celebrates this legendary activist, Broadway star, and famous Princetonian (and the namesake of their arts center!) Learn about Robeson’s life in a historical overview lead by Shirley Satterfield, historian of Witherspoon-Jackson neighborhood where Robeson grew up. The lecture will cover his life in Princeton and his role in the Civil Rights movement. A birthday celebration wouldn’t be complete without food, music and performances!
