Morven Museum’s Independence Day Celebration will allow guests to step into the past! Sign your name on the Declaration of Independence, learn about the women of the Revolution, ‘meet’ George Washington, and more. Live music from the Rivergrass Blues Band, BBQ food truck eats and more make it a fun afternoon for the whole family. FREE, 12-3pm. www.morven.org
Independence Day Celebration at Princeton Battlefield State Park. Revolutionary War period soldiers will demonstrate flintlock muskets, artillery and more. At the Clarke House, get a look inside domestic life during the Revolutionary War, with farm skill demos, period games for kids to play, and more. Bring a picnic lunch to enjoy on the Battlefield afterwards, or hike the nearby trails in the Institute Woods. FREE, 11am-3pm.
Celebrate July 4: American Independence at Washington Crossing State Park in Washington Crossing, PA. Watch re-enactors as they fire muskets, run through military exercises and read the Declaration of Independence. $8, includes admission to Bowman’s Hill Tower, the Thompson Neely House and the Lower Park. 11am-3pm.

Fireworks: Lawrence Township – Rider University, 7pm. Concert from the Kindred Spirits, followed by fireworks at about 9:45pm. FREE.

Young Chefs Day Camp – Session 2
Chefs in training can develop their kitchen skills and love of cooking with a four day camp at Whole Foods Market Princeton. Designed for 10-12 year olds, the camp runs from 1-4pm, Monday through Thursday starting on the 21st. Hands on classes will introduce kids to kitchen safety and proper food handling, recipe and nutrition label reading, basic cooking techniques and menu planning.
