Princeton hosts the Annual Trinity Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Morning.

Trinity Church in Princeton, NJ will host the Sixth Annual Turkey Trot 5K Race on Thanksgiving morning November 28, 2013.

Trinity Church Turkey Trot is a wonderful event and a great way to prepare for the feast that follows. It has become a tradition in many Princeton households. Last year they raised a record-breaking $25,300 and introduced several improvements such as early packet pick-up and D-tag timing. These enhancements have helped to streamline the process and make the event an even more enjoyable experience!

Each year proceeds from the event support local organizations.  This year they will support The Crisis Ministry of Mercer County, Urban Promise – Trenton, Housing initiatives of Princeton (HIP), and the Trenton Children’s Chorus.

Last year their non-perishable food drive for the Crisis Ministry food pantry was a huge success, so they are doing it again this year! Look for the Crisis Ministry van parked near the registration tables and drop off your heart healthy items that are low in sodium and sugar.

You can still register online at for $30.  There will also be registration on site on  Thanksgiving morning and the cost is $35.

It’s a fun race, a great tradition and a good way to justify that second (or third) helping.  See you there!
