Yep, that’s right…Father’s Day is just around the corner and it’s late in the game. You are thinking to yourself, “What does Dad possibly need?” and of course you come up with “Nothing” as your answer. And so once again you will revert back to the old standard….the Father’s Day Tie. We took a peek around some of our local shops to see what they had in store for Dads this year and came up with our three best picks. (please forgive the spacing issue thing…our html skills are in development!)
The Skull and Crossbones tie from J.McLaughlin is such a fun tie. This store does all their own silkscreen printing and all patterns are their originals. If your Dad isn’t really a suit guy but when he wears one he likes to funk it up…this my friends is the tie for him. Tie: J McLaughlin $65 100% Silk. 17 Witherspoon St. 609-497-9717
This purple tie from Nick Hilton’s Shop (though it looks a little blue in the photo) also comes in an orange pattern and is very dashing. Nick says “Plaids are the new stripes” so if your Dad can hang, this is the tie for him. Tie: $125 by Seaward&Stearn; 100% English Silk. 221 Witherspoon Street. 609-921-8160
This 7-fold Italian silk tie is handmade in Como, Italy. Perfectly preppy and perfect for any summer wedding, this fab tie is available in limited edition at Stephen Seo. Tie: $125 100% Italian Silk 63 Palmer Sq W. 609-924-6701
Hey Dads out there…a tie might not be your idea of the perfect gift, but you can always use a new addition to the wardrobe and when you wear it you’ll remember just how much you are valued and loved by your family. Afterall…there really isn’t anything better than that feeling.
Happy Father’s Day to you all.
