The Memorial Garden at Mercer County Community College hosts the annual September 11 Commemoration, honoring the 30 Mercer County residents who lost their lives on that historic day. A wreath will be laid, musical selections will be performed and a speech will be given by Steven Gutkin, director of the NJ Office of Homeland Security. 11am. www.mccc.edu

A sure sign that fall has returned to Mercer County? The corn maze is open! Howell Living History Farm’s awesome corn maze is back, and this year’s theme is ‘Don’t Be Chicken.’ Double-thick hedgerows mean getting lost is guaranteed! Terhune Orchards invites you to celebrate the apple harvest with Apple Day! It’s not just apples, though – think pumpkins, gourds, and Indian corn. Enjoy pony rides, wagon rides, a rubber duck race and a chance to examine the farm machinery up close.
