It’s the most wonderful time of the year: lower humidity, pumpkin spice everything and the kiddos are back to school after a delightful summer.  New routines, earlier bedtimes and after school activities are on the horizon.  Considering a new school next year? Check out local area open house dates.  Need to get your kids involved in afterschool activities?  We have some great suggestions from local area businesses. Have a 7th grader? Fall is School Open House Season!

After School Fun From Little to Big

The Common Ground Lecture Series from Princeton Common Ground presents several innovative speakers each year intended to inspire, invigorate and inform. The events are free, open to the public, and take place at a variety of venues within the member schools’ campuses and showcase current thinking on parenting, technology, education, health, and inspiration.

Children and teens aged 6+ are invited to Trenton Circus Squad workshops free of charge. Learn circus skills such as stilt walking, trapeze, juggling, acrobatics and slapstick from Squad members and staff. Sign up once, then show up for any workshop! Workshops held after school most days!

That same weekend is the the 2016 Mercer County Italian American Festival (September 23rd-25th) at Mercer County Park. Later this fall, The Great Pumpkin Ball benefits Good Grief of Princeton on October 21st, and the Arts Council’s infamous Dining by Design takes place on November 12th.
